Department of Medical Biotechnology, School of Biological Sciences, RKMVERI (Deemed University) invites applications from eligible candidates for a position of Project Assistant / Research Associate to work in the area of RNA Biology under the Ramanujan Fellowship Project (RJF/2021/000123).
Job Requirements:
As the proposed work involves Biochemistry and Molecular Biology techniques, a fully committed researcher skilled in these techniques is required. The selected candidate will be involved in experiments, data collection, and execution of experiments. He will be expected to carry out the biochemical, molecular biology and cell culture work related to the project under Dr. Pushkar Malakar, Ramanujan Fellow, School of Biological Sciences, RKMVERI (Deemed University).
Eligibility:
Fresh Ph.D. with M.Sc. in Life Sciences with experience of working in RNA biology. Those with knowledge of Bioinformatics will have preference.
Assistantship / Associateship receivable per month (consolidated): Rs.20000/-

Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview /walk in interview. Once a candidate is selected, they will be placed as Project Assistant / Research Associate in RKMVERI
Note: The selected candidate will be on initially appointed for six months only and upon an evaluation/assessment at the end of six months, further extensions are possible up to a maximum of two or three years (with six monthly evaluations/assessments to decide on the continuance each time), with the same amount of assistantship / associateship of Rs.20,000/- owing to funds constraints in the Scheme.
