Initially for one year, extendable further based on evaluation of the performance of the project fellow subject to project duration
Essential Qualifications
- MSc/MTech/MBBS any equivalent postgraduate qualification in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology/ allied subjects with NET/GATE/similar equivalent examination
- Preferable: Mathematics and/or Statistics at the +2 level
Desirable Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blotting, cloning, etc.)
- Experience in mammalian cell culture
- Exposure to bioinformatics analysis will be an added advantage
Project Description
This project aims to develop a novel therapeutic strategy against the deadly brain-eating amoeba Naegleria fowleri by validating Methionine Aminopeptidase 2 (MetAP2) as a drug target.
Age Limit
28 years (for General Category). Relaxation for reserved categories per Govt. of India rules.
